Working in the Kinesiology field has been great, but through my experience I have discovered areas of strengths and areas of weakness. Some of my strengths consist of: patience, teaching, an includer, positivity, and an achiever. The ideal situations to display my strengths are those that allow me to teach children or adults something about physical activity. Through coaching and personal training, I have been able to expose myself to many "sweet spots." I am passionate about sharing my knowledge for physical education, health, and fitness.
Opposite of my strengths, my biggest weakness is dealing with difficult cases. This could be a student, athlete, patient, or client, but for me it was typically patients. Working within the physical therapy environment was a great learning experience, yet I realized it was not for me. I was not able to focus on my strengths like coaching or personal training allowed me to do. Even though I successfully got through those difficult circumstances, I need to work on feeling more comfortable with them. On the other hand, my strengths helped me through my weak areas.
